I have 2 intermediates. They’re the best. With a mud river insulated cover they’re perfect

    Long Distance Traveling for Birds

Just got back from Kansas. Stayed at a hotel. $47 a night with free breakfast in the morning. In my opinion, you can’t beat that. I like fresh towels and hot shower every day after walking 12 miles. Plus, you usually meet some fellow hunters that may or may not point you in the right direction

Yeah, I was blown away by the amount of hoppers in there. Especially in October

Great day yesterday. Perfect weather and the leaves are amazing. Even after some snow and several frosts I saw tons of hoppers out in the meadows. Great dog work resulted in 1 shot, 1 missed and 1 I let go as it flushed directly at me to the point I had to duck.

Totally agree. Bird numbers have been absolutely incredible but shooting has been tough with them in the trees.

Missed/saw more birds then most people see in a season last night. Really tough shooting as they were all in the trees. It’s funny, you hike into an area thinking it’s all to yourself and then see this guy.

Hot and dry makes it hard for the dogs. Opening day we moved 10 but never really had any shots. My dog pointed this guy as we were about to give up due to heat yesterday.

Took my 4 month old puppy out today to check a spot. Flushed 2 that held super tight then a covey of 5. Not bad for an hour of walking. Cover looked amazing!
