    My Pheasant Hunting Farewell

Hunt until you cannot. When you cannot, find another hobby! I sure hope that I can reach my 69th year hunting. I just hit number 50 and finally made it to ND. I promised myself that I would hunt much more since I am nearly retired. Going to give it a good effort. For you, the memories have to...

    Shooting once

I hit one over the middle of thick cattails today. With the wind, and momentum, that bird landed 20yards in the wheat stubble! (true story.)

Cut them right where they change color. The quills have some pressure in them that is released. Twist to remove. Still not easy, but easier.

Looking for a new hunting vehicle

I always prefer a Pacer for the added storage space. My Aunt and Uncle had a matching pair of them in the 1970s! The he got the AMC Eagle with AWD. He was a glutton for punishment.

    Indiana hunting lottery

I have driven past Greenwood many times. Seen a good number of birds there when there is snow on the ground. Always wanted to hunt that. I also stop and buy shrimp at the farm just east. They're good!

    Wet Crispi Boots

Based on mine, there are pretty good at making custom fit boots too. And so far have weathered 20 years of hunting and probably have 20 more in them even if I do not.
