    Ear yeast infection.

One of the sporting mags, in the "vets" corner, says use 50% white vinegar and 50% alcohol...vinegar kills the bacteria and the alcohol dries the ear out quickly.

    Shooting glove

Had a pair of the Filson, goat skin(?) gloves, paper thin, but tough as nails. After 5-6 yrs I thought they could use some conditioning. Well, I took the advise of the wrong person and used conditioner that turned the gloves into "grease rags". In an effect to remove the conditioner, I heated...

    SxS Barrel Length

I think most people will be quicker to shy away from shorter barrels than longer. For use in open country a lot of people are trending to longer barrels, especially in 20ga and 28ga. Remember, a sxs doesn't have a "receiver", so a 30in barrel on a sxs will measure about the same overall length...

If you liked the wing shooters, exempt for the traction, and the boots can be resoled, send them into Redwing and have a more aggressive Vibram soles put on them. Should run around $60-70?

    Crop farming lease prices?

Just thinking about what prices crop farmers are paying to lease land...per acre? I imagine price/acre may vary with size of lease. And, not talking about leasing to hunt.

    New shotgun barrel length

Personally, I've never found the difference between 28&30in to matter in the heavy brush (grouse woods). To me, balance of the gun in my hands is more important. Of course, everyone carries their gun differently so you have to find a gun that feels right for you.

    Hot Beef Commercial

Dad always referred to them as "commercials", but that was from the old timey days. These days mom & pop's everywhere list them as Hot Beef and/or Hot Pork, on menus.

    Sharptails

On the road going north out of Nimrod there is a DNR plot (maybe 80-120 acres) developed for sharpies. Don't know how successful it is, and haven't been that way for a couple years...not open to hunting, of course.
