2022 Season In Pictures

I really enjoy reading your posts and looking at your pictures, Greg. I lost my Griffon to cancer about a month ago. It’s been rough to say the least. Posts like this help me stop moping around and think about hunting and picking up a new pup. I also spend time looking up information about those shotguns.

So Greg’s photos with vintage shotguns , each day with a different escort. How many days of taking birds, does he conclude before he starts over the rotation?;)
I hope for Greg’s retirement fund, over 30 days. Impressive. Supplies the church pheasant feed fund raiser too.

Hey guys, thanks for the kind (and comic words!). I have a passion for SxS's and have been hunting them exclusively for the past 40 some years. I do have a few more to take out this season. I may not shoot anything, but they do get out once a year.

My son's will be getting them when I'm too old to hunt or kick the bucket. So.... they will be in the family for a while more.

Thanks again.....you folks are the best!

Greg

Sorry to hear about your dog. I know the feeling. My ols GSP died in my arms, I know where your coming from......pick up that pup and enjoy him/her to the fullest in the field.

Stay well!

Great advice for Wyowalleye. The little buggers burrow right into our heart and soul. Tough loss Wyowalley. I shared awhile back that I always think of my two dogs when I hear Garth Brooks song The Dance. “Could have missed the pain but then I’d of missed the dance!” Until that day comes for me I am going to live every day like it is the last.

No pictures but Sunday was fun. A friend and I met up and six dead roosters filled our vests. The last three retrieves absolutely were some of the toughest tests you could give your dogs. They have lost some runners this year but today was not one of those. Birds are plentiful.

Nice dog pic and wood on that stock.
Thank you, unfortunately that wood is called extra grain from Beretta, totally fake achieved by burning figure into the wood with a laser. Still the A400 has been a good gun for me.

I think 2023 is my year to upgrade. Love the look of the xplor!

You’d have to be one tough dude to have hunted today in North Dakota. Gusts were expected to hit up to 65 mph! Temps where I’m at topped to a balmy 21! 🥶

Third day of hunting over the Veteran's Day Weekend. My wife joined me today. I got two and she got two. Her last bird was a high passing shot for me and just as I shot the wing broke and was already on its way to the ground. One walk, about one hour hunting. Notice the frosted trees/bushes in the background. Absolutely picturesque morning.
