Reed’s Foxy Red Ruby.. Better know as Ruby with a limit of KS Prairie Chickens..View attachment 1960
Out of crp? Last fall?
I don’t mean anything by that , I don’t think I’ve seen any wheat that’s up by where I’ve been hunting.
I’m still trying to figure these dang chickens out one day I think I’ve got them and the next day they leave me scratching my head

That was Saturday. CRP is where I find them. Limited out on Sunday as well. Huge covey flush of better than 20 birds..

Sat I flushed a single chicken and then watched a flock of about 20 fly in right at sunset, Was going to see if I could catch them Sunday morning before they went out to feed but someone else was parked on it ,I think he was just holding it and was down the road with someone else but I was going to jump in just in case.
I went and walked the tops in a several thousand acre pasture for 4 or 5 hrs and didn't see a dang thing.

That is why I hunt them. Once I think I’ve got them figured out, I’m wrong.

This is Trigger, we are impatiently waiting on duck season.
