I love this state!

I had the wife along also! ;)

Good point...but mine seems to be able to out fish me. I still have the upper hand in shooting. So far..;)

If I had my way I would move to that state in half a hear beat. Lots of things going for South Dakota other than the fishing and hunting.

those photos are really high quality.....can you share what equipment you use?

Those photos have been shot with alot of different camera equipment, but mosty a Canon Digital Rebel SLR, a Olympus digital point and shoot, Samsung cell phone, and a Nikon coolpix.

The photos that are framed with the circle are actually shot thru my old Redfield spotting scope with the Olympus digital pushed up behind it. Its a very low tech method, but certainly good enough for a "Look what I seen today" view..

Withdrawal hasn't set in yet, but Im thinkin it will be this weekend.

Thank you South Dakota for the great hunting and fishing opportunities this year. I probably wont be able to partake as much next year.

Thank you to my wonderful wife for allowing me so much "me" time. I look forward to her retirement, so she can come with me more often!

Reddog,
You put together quit a pictoral of your time in South Dakota. Are you also employed by the State Chamber of Commerce to attract tourism for the state? If not, would you please discontinue you this practice so we can keep South Dakota to ourselves and limit the hunting and fishing pressure to those that are currently traveling there. From now on, lets tell everyone "South Dakota sucks, I wouldn't waste my time.":coolpics:

Rollie, you're aware that I don't really understand people who fish during pheasant season.
But when you do BOTH, now that's impressive!
Also just noticed that when your hood is up, the pheasant is upside down.
Thats my UPH sweatshirt. Never noticed the rooster is upside down , but couldn't see it if I was wearing it anyway.

Resurrecting an old thread to update. My wife and I are now officially South Dakota residents as we moved from Okoboji area of Iowa to Garretson.

Nice sweatshirt. Way to be a resident of SD! I miss being one every day, was a resident 2001-2006. MN is not friendly with the taxes!
