Mostly 12 gauge pump.Sometimes 20 gauge lc Smith side by side. Ithica 20 gauge side by side. 12 gauge 11-87 is a good gun.

Hard to beat a 12 gauge, ammo available almost everywhere, load up or down, and choose a choke that patterns well for what your shooting.

No it's not hard to beat a 12. A 16 is a bird killing machine. Only time I shoot a 12 is goose hunting. Also use a 20 on pheasant and ducks. Quail get the hammer from a 28.

20 gauge will hold 1 1/4 oz of lead. How much do you need?

Make Mine a light weight 20 Ga with 3 inch mag capabilities, mainly use an Ounce of #5 shot but the 3 inch shell with 1 1/4 #5 come in handy when birds get a bit wild .
