Hello all. I will be heading to Central Montana for the first time in the middle of October for some bird hunting. I ABSOLUTELY am not asking for anyone's prime info. Doing all the leg work is half of the fun for me. (The other half is watching great dog work.) But I am asking for any help...

Has anyone else ever had a dog point a porcupine? My 18 month old GSP got a mouth full of quills last week in SD. I know this is the Kansas forum but I just thought I would ask. A learning experience for me (and her!) for sure. Does kansas even have these scary critters?:
