Trainer

Can anyone recommend a trainer for my new Lab. He is doing some basic work with me at home(he is 10 weeks old), but when he is 5-6 months old, I would like to take him somewhere for a starter course. I would like to get some idea of possible trainers so I can do my research now and be ready to commit to someone by May.

I am not sure at this point. I was initially thinking of a two week intro program, or something like that. I hate to be apart from him too long.

You might check into Pete Fischer up at Fischer kennels near Albany. I have no personal experience, but he's pretty popular with the retriever folks.
