Skunk Problem?

Curious to know if anyone else has noticed a big "up-tick" in the skunk population in ND? My group pheasant hunted between Lehr and Ashley from Oct. 20th through 26th and saw 15 skunks during that time. That population has now been reduced by 9. We saw 5 in one group. Been hunting this area for 8 years now and NEVER came close to seeing that many. Two of my GSP's got sprayed last year. Luckily we kept the dogs away this year. Thank God for E-collars. They are terrible egg eaters and have no predators.
 
They are notorious murderers on all gamebird eggs. They are everywhere across the middlewest, even from ND to Missouri. Nothing to seeing 10 or so coons and skunks on the road to town. I appreciate the world with skunks and coons, just less of them!
 
The uptick is due to the incredibly mild winter last year. Rabies is also up because of this, so be sure your dogs are immunized.
