Quail situation in the palisade-trenton area?? Young dog needs work.

Guys,
My son has a 7 month old german wirehair, looking to find some quail to get him on to.

How is the quail population in the palisade-trenton-hayes center area??

Been out a couple times around Grant-Madrid but haven't seen many quail.

Never did get out to hunt the Trenton-Palisade area. Did find a few coveys of quail pheasant hunting east of Binkelman. Still need to get out a couple times. How is your season going? Expect the snow has made it alot easier to find the birds?
