Were all ya CA peep's going for pheasant opener this Satuarday???

Im heading out to the fields for pheasants, valley quail, doves, turkeys and cotton tails...on public ground, all wild...:D

Thanks JSD, ....we have a lot of game to hunt on this Sat. opener !!!!

If I dont get any phez, lots of quail and dove to go after.

WORKING EVERY DAY IN NOVEMBER EXCEPT 5 DAYS AROUND THANX GIVING,BUT THE MONEY IS GOOD AND THERE WILL BE GOOD CHRISTMAS:mad::)
 
For various reasons I'm having difficulty getting out to hunt anything. A far cry from my intent to hunt at least 20 days this year. I finally did go out for Valley Quail last Saturday and it was perfect; nice weather and lots of birds. My year old pup proved useful and a joy to get out with. He caught on quick, got birdy and led me to the three coveys I found that day. But unfortunately a thorn got stuck in his cornea at some point. We had to send him to a Vet specialist on Monday and about $1500 later he comes out with the expectation of a full recovery and "bell" around his head with orders from the doc that there will be no more hunting for him for a few weeks. :(

At any rate, if there is a chance that I can get up north to hunt pheasant in a few weeks than great! But at this point, I'll be happy to have the opportunities to hunt quail and chukar locally. That's just as much anyway IMO.
