Returned to Houston on thursday and already looking forward to the next trip north. Group of four hunters with dogs and two old timers to block a few fields for us totalled 56 roosters for the 4.5 days hunting only public land around Pierre. Did alright considering the 5 straight bluebird days and immense hunting pressure on the public lands. Man, what a circus! There sure are some jacklegs out there and it continues to amaze me how inconsiderate some of these so called hunters are. Big fun all in all and got to explore more lands for future opportunities. Nothing like watching the sunset, having a cold one with your hunting partners and family. Wish I would have taken some pics as I'm terrible at that!
