I am from Olathe and I am looking to take my GF on a successful (not limit out just get into and shoot at birds) quail hunt (not a game farm). I am looking for someone that would like to help me teach my Girl Friend how to hunt for a Sunday after Thanksgiving. We would be looking to travel about an hour or two from Olathe.
I would prefer working with a pointing breed of dog.
It was pretty bad on Sunday for opening weekend. I remember times when I could have found a few birds by just stumbling through the grass and tree lines. This is the worst year I can remember for finding birds and it is also her first year hunting... I want her to have memorable experiences and enjoy the hunt... Not just memories of walking all day and not finding a single thing.
