golden valley

have any of you guys hunted the golden valley for birds, the towns are like glova and beach. if so, what kinda birds, mainly interested in pheasants. hoping it may be out of the way enough to miss a few crowds and still find a birds.

Bakken Oil has changed that area, not out of the way anymore.
Some good pheasant country though, all private property and the birds are mostly along creeks and brushy draws. Short grass prairie won't hold many pheasants.

Area is better for sharptails. Long time ago a few families would go out there together for a weekend and we would come home with 60 sharptails (yum-yum).

As fall progresses to winter most pheasants migrate to the ranch yards. Ranchers in these parts really help carry deer, turkey and pheasants through the rougher winters.
