Broods anybody?

I haven't seen or heard any either. The river keeps getting lower everyday. Our swimming hole is about gone.

That's a positive sign! That area hasn't had high quail counts since I was a kid, but with some encouragement they hang on. Hope that is a sign we may have had a better nesting season over a larger area of the state.

Have seen some little quail and still seeing pairs and hearing an occasional bob-white, which tells me they are still trying to nest and raise some little quail. Now there is enough cover in the bean fields. if they have some nesting cover near by, so they can get insects and be much safer from the predators. Wishing one and all good hunting this fall and be safe in doing it.
