Which is the best map/s for S.D. that show the different types of public land for hunting?

For paper maps I find the ones you can request from G&F to be pretty good for a paper map.
For electronic maps I use the map below. It overlays all public land with aerial imagery. Lots of layers can be added to show the cover type such as wetland, food plot, trees, etc.

Get the printable georeferenced maps for each county you want to hunt then load them on a map app like Avenza, will show you exactly here you are at. The are located on the SD game and fish website.
