The boy is picking things up. Eight months old and his honor is solid, he loves to retrieve and he's got a pretty decent nose. Of course, he's got some MPE (Mad Puppy Energy) so once in a while, recall is a battle, but the dog is pretty smart.

We had a great week. Socks had his first retrieve along with a lot of work on some pen-raised and wild birds. I'd like to think we're doing things right.

Sunday was much better. The temps were cooler and the birds seemed to hold. We managed three roosters and three quail. However we had a lot of fun and lots of laughs.
