    Today's field experience

Dog kicked out a rooster today on the gamelands and as it was going down a second one also bolted. The A5 was still at point so I took the second shot... and nothing ! Barrel was "locked back" tight, & wouldn't move. Couldn't figure it out in the field. Ironically, gamelands were about 3 miles...

    F.a.i.r Iside

I can't tell you the exact weight of mine. I don't buy into that argument anyway about a gun being too heavy to carry into the field. I did alot of research before i pulled the trigger on this on, pun intended. I'm satisfied with it. Besides, i've always seen minor weight variances between the...

    F.a.i.r Iside

Picked one up a few weeks ago, and then the new windows came in, and then the spring yardwork & mulching, in other words , haven't shot it yet, but i look at it alot. 16ga, 28" barrels. Did much research on this before i sprung and first impressions are very good.

What is the best pair of boots you ever owned for hunting pheasants?

If you do, the Mec sizemaster is going for $385, IF you can even find one OR the primers. I'd take the gas pipe before i pay $106/k delivered. Why guys are paying that is beyond me...

    "Pigeon shells"

Probably so, as you say. But i do remember some others referencing it and saying they were using something similar on pheasants. "Chestle" above claims he has used the newer ones on pheasant.

    "Pigeon shells"

I did alot of reading/surfing on shooting forums over the winter & covid and now & then came across something referred to as "the old pigeon load" used on the nostalgic pigeon hunts. Some even carried them across & used them on pheasant. i don't remember the specs, but if that's what your box...

    #4 shot in a 16ga.

Only way to tell for sure is to pattern a few. I've read they might not work as expected in a 16ga.
